STONYWORDS! FESTIVAL: Dirty Bizness play the music you want from the songsmiths you love

Many songwriters have shown themselves to be magnificent wordsmiths, and those whose tunes have that swinging jazzy feel have heard them interpreted by some of the great voices in popular music – think Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, through to more recent singers like Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux and Corrine Bailey Rae, and a few blokes, too!

Dirty Bizness make it their business to bring you some of those songs in their own swingingjazzybluesy style, and on Friday night (Feb 3) you can hear their deliveries direct from York House Centre, as a part of the StonyWords! Literature Festival

Their guests will be Sharon Watson & Dick Clarke. They have got rhythm; get them under your skin.

Doors open at 7.30pm, and the friendly volunteer York House bar staff will be pleased to serve you real ale, wines, and soft drinks – the proceeds from which go to York House.

Tickets are cheaps as chips at a fiver.  Get them on-line here
