WHAT A BARDY BRILLIANT COLLECTIVE!

To supplement this Saturday's (Nov 29) Christmas Switch On in Stony Stratford, a showcase of poetry and storytelling will be held throughout the afternoon, at the town library. The Bard's Spoken Word Showcase will provide visitors with three hours of wordy-wonder from 1pm, and there is a big line-up of local talent taking part. Are you ready?  Here's the list entire... Neil Beardmore, Lance Taylor, Theresa Kelleher, Steve Allen, Dave Quayle, Sam Upton, Caz Tricks, Stephen Hobbs, Peter Ball, Danni Antagonist, Red Phoenix, Richard Frost, Ian McEwen, Donna Scott, Emma Ormond, Riaz Moola, Leanne Moden, Fay Roberts, Poeterry and Steve Patmore. Also on hand at the show-out will be The Antipoet, and of course, the Bard of Stony Stratford himself, Phil Chippendale. "A wide selection of poetry performances, storytelling, hot beverages and snacks will be available throughout the afternoon to stave away the chill of the looming Winter so, as the long cold nights draw near, seek out the divine spark of the spoken word to guide you through the dark and see you safely to the dawning of another year," encourage organisers.
