WOBURN SAFARI PARK IS HAVING A GIRAFFE!

Staff at Woburn Safari Park are sticking their necks out this weekend with lots of half term fun for families. This Saturday, Sunday and Monday (May 24-26) the catering team at the safari lodge will be cooking up a storm with a tasty BBQ to sink your teeth into. The large BBQ grill will be set up on the decking of the lodge, so you can enjoy the views over the Desert Springs walk-through enclosure while you eat. Television star Peppa Pig will be meeting her fans on Sunday, when she appears at the Elephant Meadow show ground throughout the day, from 11.30am. It wont cost you any extra to pop by for a picture and a word with the piggy, but to avoid disappointment you will need to book tickets in advance through the usual site (below). Then on Monday, the giraffe keepers will be at the Visitor Enrichment Centre at the Park, selling special VIP experiences to go 'off road' and meet the giraffe herd. Monies raised will go to the Giraffe Conservation Fund. Face painting and a raffle with some special prizes will also be on offer, and you can enjoy a giraffe meet and greet, at just £15 per person. World Giraffe Day, by the way, is on June 21. For more information and bookings, head to www.woburn.co.uk WSP-14-5-14-web-133
