XMAS CONCERTS: WOLVERTON TOWN BAND & MK YOUTH CHOIR LEAD THE CHARGE

Christmas just wouldn't be the same without a nice slice of something as traditional as it is festive, and that means a concert, or two, and Total MK knows where to go this week with two chances to get your fill of fine music this Saturday (Dec 12).

Start things off with an afternoon trip to St Mary & St Giles Church in Stony Stratford for Christmas Choralfest.

Join members of the MK Youth Choir (above), and special guests a capella group The Reluctants as they come together to deliver a celebration in sound, spanning choral pieces and old favourites.

The two-hour show begins at 3pm and tickets will be available on the door (adults £7.50, OAP/Student £5, Under 18s £5).

Pre-paid only family tickets giving entry to two adults and two children are available by calling 01908 311593.

Then, when time is called on Choralfest, hot-foot it to St George's Church in Wolverton for a Christmas Brass Concert in the company of the Wolverton Town Band (above).

The hard-working players are always on hand to bring a sprinkling of merriment over the Yuletide activities around town, but this is their very own event and will be bursting with seasonal cheer.

The players promise all of your festive favourites and entry is free.

Things get underway at 6.30pm, interval refreshments will be served and you can try your luck at the raffle too.
