YORKIEFEST 4: COMING TO STONY STRATFORD THIS WEEKEND

The fourth annual Yorkiefest seeks your support on Saturday (May 16), when it sets up base at York House, in Stony Stratford.

These events - boasting an eclectic mix of goodies for the ticket-holder - raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alzheimer's Society, so dig as deep as you can.

Doors open at 1.30pm, the music starts at 2pm and runs through to 11pm.

Your line-up of live artists looks like this: Palmerston, Second Hand Grenade, OmniVibes, Judecca Nights, Two's Company, Skallagrigg, Five Men Not Called Matt, The Anti-Poet, Dodo Bones and Navaras.

Tickets are £7.50 all day, or a fiver after 6pm.

Get yours on the door, or grab them in advance from Odells Ironmongers, or Hollywood Music.

A bar will be serving the wet stuff and a selection of hot and cold food will be available keeping hunger pangs at bay, and soaking up that liquid that comes in pint form!

> Spare coins left over from your holiday?

Don't bung it in a pot and leave it, pop it in a bag and take it to Lesley Arkins Optometrists in the town who will convert it and divide equally between the charities.

A Just Giving page is in place too.  Visit www.justgiving.com/Derek-Gibbons1
