Castlethorpe artist Fiona Abel-Smith is among 37 artists who will partake in the South Northamptonshire Art Trail, when it launches on Saturday (Oct 10).
Fiona paints in oils, and creates Polymer Clay artworks which is still a new art form.
"I specialise in cane work, the manipulation of the clay into millefiori designs, where the patterns are created within the clay itself, not painted on afterwards," Fiona explained.
"The skill is in creating beautiful patterns across the clay which can then be used to create jewellery, sculptures and many other forms."
Polymer Clay is a passion for Fiona - she also helps run the South Midlands Polymer Clay group, which meets at Hanslope Village Hall every two months.
And when it comes to her paintings? Her home village is a favoured topic.
"...my work, especially the snow scenes have been spread worldwide," she said, "...adding a little touch of Castlethorpe to foreign shores."
Fiona will be resident at Alan Muxlow Garden Design, Bell Plantation Garden Centre, Towcester, showing her work and sharing her skills until October 18.
Pop by and investigate between 9.30am and 3pm (Mon-Fri) and 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
