Figure It In is the title of a new exhibition at Stantonbury Theatre, starting this coming Monday (October 17), and it's a special date for artist Neil Beardmore - marking three decades since he first exhibited at the venue.
Figure It In sets out to explore the human shape and form, using vibrant colour to express contour and shadow, the journey is one of intriguing expression.
Taking influence from the work of Schiele, Beardmore's work is characterised by the use of bold lines, sometimes in charcoal, pencil, inks applied with various implements, or his particular favourite, Chinagraph crayon.
From full length life drawing studies to portraits, including one of himself, he seeks to define personality and psyche with a combination of line and pigment...
The show runs to November 6 and entry is free.
