Milton Keynes Film Network is bringing the first ever 48 Film Challenge to Milton Keynes this weekend.
It will bring together filmmaking talents from across the region for a two-day period of creativity resulting in short film deliveries.
The theme this year is Love in the City and participating teams will also be given criteria that has to figure in their work – such as title, and a line of dialog.
Davin Jeayes - himself a filmmaker from the area – is the force behind this great new venture.
He is also a trustee of Independent Cinema ICMK.
“This is an exciting time for creative talent in Milton Keynes,” he said.
“Encouraging filmmaking in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area is an important part of the development of the creative talent of this city."
“This is hopefully the first of many film challenges for MKFN and we're excited to welcome as many filmmakers as possible to take part in this creative and fun event,” he added.
Awards will be given for Best Film in the adult, and young filmmakers categories, and awarded by a panel of judges led by MK's own animation ace Tim Searle.
Tim will issue the gongs at a Film Screening and Awards night next Saturday (Nov 28).
We'll share the winner news with you then...
