On Tuesday, May 14, the Sky Room auditorium at MK Gallery will play host to a special live broadcast of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons direct from The Old Vic in London.
The play features Academy Award-winner Sally Field (Steel Magnolias, Brothers & Sisters) and Bill Pullman (The Sinner, Independence Day).
America, 1947. Despite hard choices and even harder knocks, Joe and Kate Keller are a success story. They have built a home, raised two sons and established a thriving business.
But nothing lasts forever and their contented lives, already shadowed by the loss of their eldest boy to war, are about to shatter. With the return of a figure from the past, long buried truths are forced to the surface and the price of their American dream is laid bare.
Jeremy Herrin (NT Live: This House, People, Places & Things) directs a cast that also includes Jenna Coleman (Victoria), and Colin Morgan (Merlin).
The Sky Room auditorium, located on the second floor of the new MK Gallery boasts incredible views across Campbell Park, and is home to a 9m cinema screen, the latest in audio equipment and 150 seats. Prior to performance, visitors can enjoy food and drink from the new MK Gallery Café Bar.
Simon Wright, Curator of Public Programming at MK Gallery said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting the live broadcast of All My Sons in partnership with Curzon. The new Sky Room gives us the opportunity to create a varied and exciting programme in Milton Keynes, and being able to show a National Theatre Live performance is hugely exciting.”
