Claire Clark has confirmed she will be one of the judges for the MK50 Cake Off competition, part of the 2017 MK50 celebrations.
The famous chef whose career spans some of the most prestigious restaurants including The Ritz, Claridges and Intercontinental and Westbury hotels as well as the more diverse Sir Terence Conran’s Bluebird, will be one of the named judges.
Claire will be joined by three others including Karrin Simpson, Milton Keynes cake artist and Andrea Ruff who is the head chef at MK College, to judge the Cake Off that will see one person make the official cake for Milton Keynes’ 50th birthday next year.
Over 20 local cake artists have submitted their entry forms so far and the deadline for final applications is Monday 31 October.
Karrin Simpson, who is project managing the event said: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of applications, the standard is extremely high, which will make the final judging very hard.”
To enquire about taking part in The Great MK Cake Off, send your design and contact details in an email here and head it ‘MK50 Bake Off’ in the subject box.
10 entries will be invited to take part in a ‘Bake Off’ style event at Milton Keynes College on November the 12th where you will make and bake your design from scratch and where the panel judges will select their winner.
The overall winner will receive the honour of making the MK50th cake.
