The Four Pillars restaurant in Olney has been Highly Commended in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition after a nomination from local MP Mark Lancaster.
Although the restaurant didn’t make it to the grand final, The Four Pillars will receive a certificate and embroidered Tiffin Cup 2019 apron to mark their achievement in this year’s competition.
The annual Tiffin Cup was set up by Keith Vaz MP to find and recognise the best South Asian restaurant in the UK, with the final being a cook-off in the House of Commons.
Mark Lancaster, MP for Milton Keynes North said: "I’m really pleased The Four Pillars was High Commended in this year’s Tiffin Cup. It is such a prestigious award and to be honoured in this way is a testament to the fantastic efforts of all their staff.
“It was a pleasure to be able to nominate them for the award and they are fully deserving of the recognition.”
Keith Vaz MP, co—chair of the Tiffin Cup, added: “We are delighted that The Four Pillars has been Highly Commended in the Tiffin Cup 2019. This is a great tribute not just to the nomination of Mark Lancaster MP but also to the constituency of Milton Keynes North as a whole.”
