Here at Total MK, we believe that the only good farm is a meat-free farm, so we were delighted to be handed a bag of tempting sounding sausages from The Meatless Farm Company, and told to cook them up and fill our faces.
How could we refuse?
The British plant-based mince and burger manufacturer has just issued its new collection of vegan sausages - perfect timing with BBQ season in full swing.
The sausages are the sum total of pea, soya and rice proteins, and with chicory root and caramelised carrot. Sprinkle in a yummy blend of herbs and spices, and you’ve got yourself the perfect sausage sandwich in waiting.
They are also high in protein, gluten free and a good source of fibre.
The company says it aim to ‘improve people’s health through better eating, whilst supporting the environment and animals,’ and we are all about that.
Our bag full of bangers was demolished in super-quick time, and the subtle taste and tempting texture proved a winner not just with the vegans among us, but also with those who have yet to be convinced to take the plunge and ditch the flesh.
With products like this on the market though, making that choice is becoming ever easier.
