Billy Nomad returns to Fenny Poppers Festival this weekend

Billy Nomad is a travelling singer-songwriter from unknown origins. Many stories have been told about the man, including that he is a ghost, an inter-dimensional time traveller and even that he’s just an old punk-rocker in a mask.

One thing is for sure; he comes bearing a message and it’s LOUD!!

Joined by his professional league of musical mercenaries (known as The Common Army), Billy travelled the UK mercilessly throughout 2016/17, flogging the first of his many prophetic albums, “Covered in Tea”.

In December 2017 he disbanded The Common Army, mumbling something about a “holiday” and the long awaited “second album”.

But good news for fans: Billy Nomad & the Common Army will be making a one-off special appearance at the Fenny Poppers Festival on Sunday (August 19) to celebrate Billy’s 10th year of performing at the event.

He will be joined by old band mates Hacker, Olivia “Daugaard” Larsen & Joey “Sergeant Tom” Lawson; returning band member Chris Murphy, who last performed with the band half a decade ago; as well as an all-star cast of faces from the local music scene.

Expect to see appearances from Mitchell Taylor & Nick Smith of Taylor Smith (MK11 BotB 2018 finalists), Jez Gibbons & Jon Stacy of forest of fools (as seen at Boomtown, Small World & many more national music festivals), Mat & Ellie of Simply Acoustic (MK’s premier acoustic pop/rock review band) and Stephen Price of The Retros (sweet soul music out of Buckingham).

The band is set to perform a selection of sing-along classics from the first album as well as few doses of new material to keep you on your toes.
