Brix & the Extricated hit up Bedford Esquires this weekend

Brix & the Extricated will be live at Bedford Esquires on Sunday (November 4) evening.

This is one for fans of The Fall and the post-punk movement.

The Roar Club & Pad Presents join forces  to bring Brix to Esquires.

Brix E. Smith was lead guitarist and major song writer for post punk band The Fall and those lucky enough to have seen her support the Jesus & Mary Chain in September last year know this is a must-see show.

Brix & The Extricated were formed in 2014 by Brix Smith-Start and legendary bass player Stephen Hanley.

Stephen’s brother Paul joined on drums reigniting the Hanley Brother powerhouse rhythm section. The addition of Steve Trafford on guitar brought together these influential, former members of The Fall. The line-up was completed with the addition of Irish guitarist Jason Brown.

The starting point was reclaiming classic songs from the Fall back catalogue, written by members of the Extricated, which hadn't been played together for three decades.

Brix & The Extricated are a sonic juggernaut, with a woman at the helm, infusing the hypnotic brutality with sunlight, harmony, hooks and riffs.

The Metatrons will support, and tickets are on sale here
