One of the UK's finest songwriters will be coming to Bedford Esquires later this month for a special intimate performance.
Chris Difford and his song writing partner Glen Tilbrook formed the band Squeeze and together they have written some of most enduring and best loved songs of our time. Songs like 'Up the Junction', 'Cool for Cats', ‘Tempted’ and 'Labelled with Love’.
Over a career that has spanned nearly half a century, he has also worked with the likes of Elvis Costello, Elton John and received an Ivor Novello award for his brilliantly idiosyncratic lyrics.

With Squeeze still touring and playing venues like the Royal Albert Hall, Chris will be making a rare solo appearance in the more slightly less salubrious surroundings of Bedford Esquires as part of his ‘Christmas Shopping’ tour. Expect not only classic songs that make the heart skip but also stories and anecdotes from a rich and varied life spent at the forefront of the music business.
Chris will be aided and abetted at the show on November 29 by Boo Hewerdine, lead singer and songwriter of The Bible and solo star in his own right.
Tickets are £22.50 in advance, available now here
