Empty Room Promotions, fresh from a successful night with Rod Picott, are back this weekend with two night of musical niceties ready to roll.
On Friday (Feb 26) evening, veteran player Dan Stuart (above) will play for you.
Dan is a fascinating character; originally from the band Green on Red (the duo also comprising Chuck Prophet), he disappeared to Mexico for 15 years, and then issued The Deliverance of Marlowe Billings, an album focused on his alter ego.
His most recent disc is Marlowe's Revenge, which pits the ageing post-punk with Mexican smokers Twin Tones.
The release has been labelled as 'a wonderfully sleazy chunk of dirty, dangerous rock n roll ' by Q Magazine.
New Yorker Dan will be joined at the show by Fernando Viciconte, whose current release Leave the Radio On features guest slots by REM's Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey.
San Francisco based Tom Heyman will play for you too.
> On Saturday night, Angel Snow will be live at the venue, Tingewick Village Hall, with a selection of songs that lay bare her innermost thoughts, hopes and dreams before her audience.
Sorrow, hope and faith figure in her work which brings honesty to a genre that boasts sweeping folk melodies and bluesy guitar riffs.
A handful of her songs have been recorded by Grammy winner Alison Krauss, and the lady, who releases her third album later this year, has been dubbed 'Nashville's next pop stealth weapon.'
Matthew Perryman Jones will support.
Doors open at 7.30pm nightly. Tickets for the former are £15, and for the later are £12.
