Saturday night is looking fine for those of you with a heavy persuasion, when black metal avant-gardists Enslaved kick start their UK tour in these parts, with a nightly anticipated date at The Craufurd Arms (October 6).
This date sees the Norwegian ten-legged machine plug their 2017 studio album E, and fans have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for this show to come to fruition.
Since first crashing onto the scene at the start of the nineties, Enslaved have constantly ruled with their blend of black and prog sounds, and the band aren't slowing the pace any; in 2016, they celebrated their quarter century by embarking on shows the explored all shadows and hidden corners in their gargantuan catalogue, much to the delight of fans.
The release of E saw them in typical creative mode, but it was a release that also brought a new streak to their style too.
Their work was praised not just be fans with their ears open, but by those in charge of the gongs - they won their fifth Norwegian Grammy for the opus.
Since then, their time has been spent back on the road, smashing Europe and North America, and whipping up a storm at festivals far and wide.
