forest of fools to play for the home-crowd after a summer of festival success

forest of fools have had a pretty spectacular summer.

MK's favourite jump-up folk fellas have been hitting up festival stages far and wide, with dates at Bestival and the Boomtown Fair among them.

Oh, and they played a small shindig called Glastonbury too - gracing no fewer than five stages on site, and sharing their sounds to some of their biggest audiences to date.

The band said: "There really is no better feeling than looking out from the stage upon a sea of faces going absolutely mental to the music we've created and we are so grateful to have been able to spend our whole summer doing just that."

If you weren't fortunate enough to see the guys in play, fret not, they took a camera crew out with them to capture the magic, and the lads will share their summer experiences with you in the not-too-distant future.

Meantime, a new album is more than just talk, it's definitely happening.  A crowdfunding campaign will launch soon to help get the band back into the studio environment while its cold outside.

But if you want to be first to hear the new tracks, you need to make tracks of a different kind over to MK11 at Kiln Farm this Friday evening (October 7) when the band wrap up that summer of playing with a hometown show.

Not that you need any more of an incentive to head over, but if you do you'll see John Spiers, formerly of Bellowhead, guesting on a couple of tracks.
Doors at 7pm.
