FREE SPIRIT FESTIVAL: THE CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN JOINS MK'S FINEST FOR SATURDAY'S BASH

Saturday's Free Spirit Festival will reward ticket-holders with a ridiculously cool pile of music and DJ action, while also raising a pretty penny for a deserving cause.

The event, which is being hosted at the Robin Hood pub in Clifton Reynes, will be topped by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.

The man who gave us fire in 1968, is still going strong in 2015 - as you'll see directly if you split with £15 (adv, £20 on the day) for a ticket.

As we said though, there is a veritable feast of sounds ready to cut loose at the event.

Here's how the rest of the bill is shaping up: Mad Mods and Englishmen, The Bighead, Nicky Prince, Broadway Twisters, Kastaphor, Matt Watson, Ian Roberts, Tony Hill, Long John Laundry, Fishwife’s Broadside, Blondeman, Kerri Woodman, Keni Stevens, Ethan & the Reformation, Naniene Roberts, Kenty, Gregger, Kuryakin, Squint, Lee Clarke, DJ Moschops, DJ Felas & Dia, 2ouche, The Stapleys, 80s Electrik, Fixed Bayonets, Chris Ripple, Briony, Matt Walsh, Dead Beat DJ, Ernest Herb, Sam Upton, Chimera Theatre Company, Al Brown, Ben Lyons and Andy Brown.

The event is raising funds for two charities; Operation Reunite and Father Founded.

The former supports and buys DNA kits for Vietnamese mothers, fathers and siblings looking for children displaced by the Vietnam war.

The latter supports and buys DNA kits for American GI veterans who are also looking for their biological children, wives and families they had to leave behind when Saigon fell in April 1975.

Toni Angelique Harrison has founded the festival, and the cause is one close to her heart - she was airlifted out of Vietnam and brought to England to be adopted by a British family.

Music aside and Free Spirit will also boast a vintage market place, children's funfair, face painting and even a cake competition.

Reach for the sponges and prepare to channel your inner bake-off!

Your great day out will help to reunite war babies with their birth families, and to someone, somewhere, really will make the world of difference.
