Wolverton music hub The Craufurd Arms is hosting an Easter Community Trail with a difference - and by taking part you will be helping to raise the volume at the much-loved venue.
The all-ages trail will see participants collect a booklet from the Craufurd coffee shop, The Green Room, before snaking a trail around the town to locate five strategically placed Craufurd carvings.
Using the paper and pencil supplied with your booklet, you’ll take a rubbing of each before returning the booklet to the venue.
Everyone will receive a raffle ticket with a number of choccie eggs to be won. Hampers will also be up for grabs for lucky winners, which have been donated by local businesses.
Monies generated from the trail will support the venues’ fundraising efforts for a new PA, which will cost £100,000.
A separate online raffle - sponsored by Marshall Amplification - will run alongside.
Prizes include a special VIP tour of Marshall Amps, Minor IV Headphones and strictly limited edition Craufurd Arms plaques - and you can enter as many times as you like.
“This is the perfect way for us to bring the Milton Keynes community together, while enjoying some seasonal fun,” said Craufurd Arms co-owner Max Harvey, “We want to nurture and support the youth and ensure the longevity of the venue. It is so important for this community to continue and thrive. People need somewhere to go and to feel seen, and we are that place.
“These two initiatives bring a little fun to the art of fundraising, and we hope everyone will join us - both online and in the town. It’s also a wonderful way to boost local businesses - and we are grateful for their support.”
> The Easter Community Trail, and the online raffle will run from March 28 to April 12. Tickets are £2.
