Built on a foundation of Americana, roots and blues influences, Allen has a soulful whiskey soaked voice and striking gift for melody.
His breakthrough came after he performed on the BBC Later With Jools Holland show.
He has toured extensively supporting many musical greats as well as establishing a loyal international following.
