MARCUS BONFANTI: 'AS IF JIMMY PAGE HAD BEEN REBORN AS SEASICK STEVE.'
Marcus Bonfanti has music at his core - he spent his youth as a trumpet player in brass bands, and worked 12 hours a day in a kitchen to raise enough cash to purchase gis first six-stringer.
He dropped out of Music College, preferring to earn his experience on the road - and spent a decade touring the world as a session player.
His debut solo album was laid bare in 2008, and led to dates with artists including Chuck Berry, Robert Cray, the late-great Jack Bruce and John Mayall.
He is also the face of The Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion, a monthly residency at the infamous little London venue.
It's not fluke, rather raw talent that has got him to this point.
On Friday evening (Nov 21), Marcus returns to Milton Keynes, playing bar side at The Craufurd Arms.
Tickets are on sale at £6 for the man The Times says sounds 'as if Jimmy Page had been reborn as Seasick Steve. Utterly spellbinding.'
