MEET PERCUSSIONIST EVELYN GLENNIE AT FROSTS IN WOBURN SANDS
Frosts Garden Centre in Woburn Sands will host a special signing session this Thursday evening ( Nov 27) in the company of Evelyn Glennie.
Evelyn is one of the most eclectic and innovative musicians on the scene today, and constantly redefines the goals and expectations of percussion.
It's a feat made all the more incredible when you realise that Evelyn has been profoundly deaf since the age of 12.
Extraordinarily talented, and passionate about realising her vision - to Teach the World to Listen - Evelyn will be at Frosts to sign copies of her new calendar.
The limited edition comprises 13 specially commissioned photographs of Evelyn and some of her instruments.
“I wanted to create a simple but poignant calendar that is almost like a piece of art,” she says.
“One that gives a little glimpse of my life as a solo percussionist and an even smaller glimpse to my ever growing instrument collection,” she added.
Evelyn will be in store - by the book department - between 5pm and 9pm.
