Scottish Traditional Music Live Act of the Year 2016, Skerryvore return to England for the Spring 2017 leg of their biannual tours of England and Wales.
The band are eager to bring their unique sound to new audiences, as well as making welcome returns to familiar venues, and play The Stables on Sunday (March 12).
Skerryvore first formed on the tiny lsle of Tiree off Scotland’s West Coast in 2005. They have since released five studio albums, and upped sticks - these days the collective are based in and around Glasgow.
Each of the members in the septet bring their own musical style to the Skerryvore mix - deeply rooted in the ‘West Coast Ceilidh’ of their roots, influences from jazz, rock, Americana, pop and Cajun also emerge. The traditional Celtic roots and instrumentation have remained.
BBC Radio bod Mark Radcliffe says Skerryvore are ‘The sound of young Scots power folk.'
Check in and see what you think when they go live after 8pm.
