If you want a full fill of the blues, make tracks to The Crown in Stony Stratford on Sunday (Dec 7).
A trio of blues artists have combined to take over the watering-hole and fill it with cool tunes to see out the weekend.
Jet Black Blues 'take the blues and turn it on its head, taking material from all genres, as well as recognised classics and add liberal amounts of funk edge, country twang and rock swagger to create a heady cocktail of roots, rhythm and blues.
But JBB is only one third of the story.
The King Biscuit Boys and their good-time acoustic blues will burrow into your head with their harmonica, washboard and melodica moments.
We have it on good authority that a tongue drum isn't out of the question either...
Ross Connor - who issued his debut CD Ain't No Fool last month - will also take time in the spotlight. If you missed him as support to Marcus Bonfanti at his Craufurd Arms date, make amends now, why don't you?
A night of the Blues to stave off the approaching Monday morning blues and leave you feeling inspired and wired.
Or if you'd rather, spend the night indoors waiting for Monday to rear its head...it's a no brainer.
Entry is free, things go live from 7.30pm.
