The Crazy World of Arthur Brown to play Milton Keynes this month

Back in 1968, Arthur Brown created a stir, and quite literally raised temperatures, with his chart-topping  hit Fire.

Fast-forward more than half a century and Arthur, now a mere 82-years-old, is still stage-bothering, putting on flamboyant theatrical shows and delivering with his powerful, wide- ranging operatic voice.

He has been a major influence on a wide range of musicians due to that outstanding vocal ability and wild stage persona and concepts. He is rightly considered a pioneer of shock rock and progressive rock and also had influence on the heavy metal genre.

During his career, Brown has been associated with Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Frank Zappa, Hawkwind, Klaus Schultze and Alice Cooper, and his countless collaborations include The Alan Parsons Project, The Stranglers and The Prodigy.

In 2024, he topped the bill at Berlin's Desertfest, delivering a total spectacle. If you let him, he'll do the same when he takes to The Craufurd Arms stage, on June 19.
