Never before has tragedy given rise to so much good humour and guitar greatness!
Tragedy seamlessly blended disco and metal with their debut album, We Rock Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong.
It was a firm collection of Bee Gees songs given a heavy metal treatment reminiscent of Judas Priest, Motley Crue and Guns N’ Roses.
Not your everyday kinda thing, obviously, but like the rhubarb gin we tried last week, it proved an instant hit.
Throw in a colourful parade of glitter and spandex to boot and what have you got?
A perfectly plump, devil-signs in the air, high-pitched metal marvel, that’s what!
Since that first album, Tragedy have criss-crossed the globe with their spectacular live shows.
Subsequent full length albums, Humbled By Our Greatness, Death To False Disco Metal, The Solo Albums and The Joy of Sex have seen them spread their glittered wings to take on non-Bee Gees classics from the disco era, soft rock anthems and party jams.
The last time they were sniffing aroundthese parts, The Craufurd Arms hosted them.
If you want to party with them this time, head to MK11 in Kiln Farm tonight (Friday), where they will be ready and waiting for you.
“We feel how excited Milton Keynes is to be with us again,” frontman and guitarist Mo’Royce told Total MK.
“This is the first time MK gets decimated since our release of The Joy of Sex: A Gourmet Guide to Lovemaking.
“It will be an electric evening of glitter, sensuality, disco and metal.
“Your smile, and your nipple erections, will last for at least one week beyond the gig. Guaranteed,” he said.
There's really nothing else to add, except to say that support at the bash is coming from Steel Panther tribute mob, Surreal Panther.
