Following a sold-out music night in Newport Pagnell in March, arts collective Where Two Rivers Meet have announced their next live music event at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Newport Pagnell.
On Saturday, May 11, ticket-holders can expect beautiful contemporary folk from Hannah Scott, and lyrical storyteller and singer Dan Stock, before pop-folk singer-songwriter Freya Gamblin rounds off the unique evening, showcased in the atmospheric surroundings of St Peter and St Paul’s Church.
Where Two Rivers Meet events also raise funds for the medieval church. The group are excited to open the choly space to the music community again, and make the most of its incredible acoustics, filling it with sound and light.
Arts collective Where Two Rivers Meet is made up is made up of Ryan Pink and Leon Hudston, who created Parklife Festival and The Sunset Lounge. Alongside them, some local heavyweights in the local music scene, Daniela Bove and Rich Patmore of Rise Bailey Rise, and music tech expert Stefan Pope.
They created the Parlor Sessions to honour Helen Parlor and her infectious energy, one of our greatest creatives that the community lost last year.
May’s event promises to build on the success of March’s Parlor Sessions, where St Peter and St Paul’s Church was professionally illuminated with changing lights up to the ceiling, with atmospheric candle lit aisles. The team highlighted the cultural and historical importance of the church in Newport Pagnell and its plans to develop the facilities to make it easier for communities to also use the space between services.
Tickets are £10 on Eventbrite. For more details click https://wheretworiversmeet.info/
