All aboard! Next stop: Fab future in Milton Keynes

MK College is hitting the road this weekend, visiting schools in and around Milton Keynes in a big yellow bus.

With exams looming students have some big decisions to make about what they’ll do after their GCSE’s.

Experts from MK College are out and about providing information on courses and to explain what life could be like for those who choose college.

With so many options, choosing which direction to take can be difficult.

On board the big yellow bus students are discovering what makes MK College different from sixth form; from the huge variety of courses and apprenticeships available; state-of-the-art-facilities and real-life working environments, to how their engagement with business prepares students for employment or further study at University.

More than two hundred students from nine schools are expected to board the bus this week.

Ian Tett, headteacher at Oakgrove School, said: “It’s great to have the yellow bus on site. It’s informative and fun, providing the students with some really useful information to help them make important decisions about their futures."

Rebecca Myrie, school and mommunity liaison, MK College added: “It’s important for young people to consider all their options post GCSEs. We’re visiting schools this week to ensure everyone has the opportunity to consider the advantages of College. We also run Buddy Days where young people can experience a day in the life of a College student and regular Open Events.”

TheOpen Event is this Saturday (January 26) at Chaffron Way and Bletchley Campuses. Click here for more information.
