A fire in a washing machine in a two-storey detached house severely damaged the utility room and left the house with 50 per cent smoke damage, yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Firefighters from Great Holm, Bletchley and Broughton dealt with the blaze at Lambourn Court, Emerson Valley.
> Firefighters also rescued a dog from a cooker fire at a property in Stantonbury, yesterday.
The incident, in Burnet, was attended by firefighters from Great Holm and Newport Pagnell, and they used one hose reel and two sets of breathing apparatus.
