People from across Milton Keynes have been signing up for a series of free workshops between now and 10th December to rehome the many plants ocated within Saxon Court.
Built in 1980, the former council offices has been home to hundreds of varied plant collections over the years, many of which were located within the building’s atrium.
With plans for the redevelopment of Saxon Court, which is part of the creation of the new, 2.35 acre MK Gateway site, set to commence next year, the workshops have been designed to ensure the plants are removed and rehomed by residents across the city.

Supported by MK Gateway developer, Socius and investor partner Patron, along with MK City Council, Pooleyville and biophilic design specialists, Tiny Jungle, the workshops will run across the next three Saturdays from 10am – 12:30pm.
Participants will learn about the different species, where each plant originates in the world, and the adaptions they have made to survive in its natural habitat.
They will also learn about the benefits that plants have on our physical and mental wellbeing, as well as the environment. After learning how to re-pot, water and feed the plants by physically working with some of the plants in Saxon Court, all attendees will take their plant home with them.
