GALLERY: ST GUTHLAC CHURCH IN PASSENHAM
Last Saturday, Passenham's Church opened its doors to the community – a chance to step inside and admire the history of St Guthlac's.
For centuries residents of the surrounding areas have worshipped at the Church – the tower dates back to the 13th century, while the chancel was rebuilt in the early 17th century.
Among the many points of interest in the picture-perfect building are the wall paintings, which were only rediscovered during renovation work in the 1950s.
Monies raised on the day will help to repair and maintain the church for future generations.
