The RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks, rescued and re-homed a record breaking 756 cats, and 66 Rabbits and Guinea Pigs in 2015 - a figure that has smashed all previous years re-homing figures.
The fantastic number was achieved through the dedication and hard work of the team who work tirelessly all year. And the local branch, a separately registered charity from the National RSPCA, couldn’t be happier.
"It’s due to the fantastic work of our fosterers and volunteers and it’s all done without a dedicated animal home!” said Cat Co-ordinator Sue Taft.
“Without a re-homing centre we rely heavily on fosterers to care for the animals in their own homes which is why we are so extremely pleased by the figures achieved.”
“I’m so proud of the team, our animal co-ordinators, feeders, fosterers, volunteers and our shops who have all worked so incredibly hard. Thank you to everyone who has given our animals new loving homes and donated to help provide them with the best possible care."
To mark the success, a celebratory tea is being held on Sunday April 3rd for all their volunteers, and potential new volunteers are invited along too.
