Total MK recently carried a feature about Frances Bell, a volunteer with the Aspley Guise-based animal rescue centre Hula.
Frances has been spending the run up to Christmas knitting up treats for customers, fulfilling a long list of orders for her clever creations.
All monies raised from her efforts were ploughed straight back into Hula, to help the animals in its care.
Frances (below) has been in touch to tell us that the grand total raised was a smashing £1093 – comfortably passing her goal of £1000.
"I would like to thank everyone that ordered items and helped make such a great total,” she said.
"The money raised will make a real difference to the animals in Hula's care, and is very much appreciated."

Frances is taking a well-earned break from the knitting needles over Christmas, but will be back with new designs in the new year.
