Willen Hospice is calling on local people to support them by making time for a cuppa and cake this May.
The charity is holding it's Time for Tea event between 14-20 May with the aim of raising a tasty amount to support the vital end-of-life care they provide to patients and their families.
Sarah Sweet-Rowley, Head of Events and Community Fundraising at Willen Hospice, said: "What better way to raise money than with tea and cake? Whether you catch up with friends over a cuppa, bake for your colleagues at work, hold a school bake sale, or host a vintage tea party; holding your own Time for Tea event can be as small or as big as you’d like it to be! Whatever you do, however you get involved, you’ll be raising vital funds to support our work."
Willen Hospice needs to raise £4.7million a year, that’s £9 every minute of the day. Getting involved in Time for Tea is a great way to help the charity to achieve this.
