Man in hospital following burglary, assault and attempted kidnap in Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of burglary, assault and attempted kidnap in Milton Keynes.

At a time between 10.30pm and 11pm on Saturday (June 6) the victim, a man aged 34, was assaulted by four offenders after they entered a property in Clerkenwell Place, in Springfield.

After being assaulted, the offenders attempted to drag the victim into a white vehicle, which was parked in the same road.

However the victim broke free, and the offenders then entered the white vehicle and drove away.

The victim sustained cuts, swelling and bruising injuries, and was taken to hospital where he remains.

The first offender is a white man, around 5ft 7ins tall, of skinny build and aged in his mid-twenties. He had brown hair in a cropped hairstyle and was clean shaven. He was dressed in a red hooded top with white writing on the front, and dark bottoms and trainers.

The second offender was an Asian man, around 6ft tall and of a large build, with a bald head and aged in his mid-forties. He was dressed in a black leather coat, blue jeans and white trainers. It is believed he spoke in a northern accent.

The third was a man believed to be of Somali descent, who was 5ft 8ins tall and of a skinny build and believed to be aged in his late twenties. He had a large afro style haircut, and was dressed in a black top, light grey tracksuit bottoms, and white trainers.

The fourth offender, the driver of the vehicle, was also a man believed to be of Somali descent, who was bald and at the time was wearing sunglasses, and had a white t-shirt on.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Serena Bellis said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, which was a terrifying experience for the victim.

“The offenders assaulted him, and then tried to drag him towards a nearby white vehicle. However the victim broke free and was not taken into the vehicle.

“He sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment, and I would like to appeal to members of the public to come forward if they have any information which could help our investigation.

“If anyone in the area believes they saw or heard something in relation to this, or recognises the physical description of the offenders, then I would ask them to please get in touch with police.

“Also, I would like to appeal to any other motorists who were in this area, and have a dash cam, to check if anything significant was captured on the footage.
