May the 4th be with hens in Milton Keynes!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there were thousands of hens hoping for their happily ever after.

The hens had been living in cages but knew they were destined for something greater! Then, one day, the British Hen Welfare Trust came to their aid, saving them from the slaughterhouse and giving them a chance at freedom.

Having spent 18 months as worker droids laying eggs for supermarkets, the hens are now ready to enjoy a little space of their own.

If you’ve got room in your back garden for a couple of Princess Layers, the BHWT will be rehoming them from locations across the galaxy - including near Milton Keynes - on Saturday, 4 May.

Francesca Mapp, Marketing Manager, said: “These hardworking hens are looking for a new home, and a chance to spread their wings, dust bathe and scratch around for bugs and slugs. They make wonderful pets and bring much light and laughter to a dull garden.

"So, if you can offer some hens a happy home, please get in touch and feel the force of being a life-saver!”

Rehomings are taking place at North Crawley on Saturday.  To book hens simply register your details here and then call the rehoming team on 01884 860084.
