Milton Keynes artist Steve Urwin has been busy; making 100 special poppies to mark next week's Armistice Day centenary.
The poppy brooches are all hand painted and pinned, and sell at £5 each, with all proceeds going to the Help for Heroes charity.
Steve was inspired to do something special having been wowed by a performance of War Horse at Milton Keynes Theatre, and watching the ladies from Newport Pagnell's 'Knit and Natter' group, who have been clicking needles and creating their own poppy tribute.
Steve said: "As artists, there are times to give back and contribute without a price ticket."
The brooches are too fragile to be mailed out, but anyone interested in snapping up one of the special brooches can visit Steve's art studio in the basement of Newport Pagnell town library. Hurry though, they are selling fast!
