Central Milton Keynes will get its own full-time university campus if local MPs Ben Everitt and Iain Stewart are successful in pushing the Government to approve the project.
The proposed MK:U would transform higher education with a focus on digital, innovation and smart technology which Milton Keynes has become renowned for.
MK already has the world leading Open University which offers flexible, part-time, distanced learning and the new MK:U would bring even more exiting opportunities for the city.

Ben has thrown his support behind the project and has been lobbying both the Universities Minister and Treasury for the go-ahead and funding.
He said: “MK can be our Silicon Valley – we are at the heart of digital innovation and a university that can deliver that belongs in our town.
“The team running the MK:U project have been doing a fantastic job getting this proposal ready and it’s got my full support.”
Iain Stewart, the MP for Milton Keynes South, added: "I have been a champion of this project from the outset. MK has already won its bid to host the Institute of Technology at Bletchley Park. MK:U, with its focus on STEM subjects and partnership with local businesses like Santander, would further cement our place as a regional powerhouse."
