Milton Keynes MP Says No More to domestic abuse and sexual violence

Milton Keynes North MP Mark Lancaster has become a champion for the UK Says No More campaign as he bids to raise awareness and bring an end to domestic abuse and sexual violence.

The national campaign, facilitated by London charity Hestia who worked with nearly 10,000 victims last year, aims to get people asking #WhatICanDo in the fight against these crimes.

Mark attended a Parliamentary rally with speeches from Carolyn Harris MP, Tim Loughton MP, child survivors of domestic abuse and experts where MPs could show their support for children living in refuges.

Mark said: "Becoming a Champion for this campaign is incredibly important to me. Even one case of domestic abuse or sexual violence is too much.

“We must continue to raise awareness of domestic abuse and sexual violence and encourage people to talk to friends and family if they think they’re at risk, and encourage others to look out for people who they are worried about.

“At an event in Parliament I wrote a message on a warrior bear for young survivors of this type of abuse who are in refuges so they know they are not alone.”
