Lovat Fields Retirement Village has issued an urgent appeal for PPE (personal protective equipment) which is in short supply because of the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
The Willen-based retirement home is run by ExtraCare, which provides an extensive range of essential services, including personal care.
A spokesman said: “As our dedicated front-line team deliver these services at increased demand throughout the pandemic, we've been working around the clock to source the PPE we desperately need to protect our staff.
“With PPE is short supply right now, and delays in getting our allocated government supplies, we're appealing to any local businesses who may not be operating at present and who therefore have unused supplies of PPE.
“If you do, we'd be so grateful if you could donate or sell them to us.”
The equipment needed is:
• Fluid-resistant (Type IIR) Surgical Mask FRSM (or similar - other masks considered)
• 60% alcohol hand sanitiser
• Gloves
• Plastic-sleeved aprons / other aprons
• Face shields / goggles
