Throughout January, MÓTUS and MK Gallery hosted a photographic exhibition exploring dance in Urban Spaces.
A precursor to MÓTUS’s current project with MK Youth Faculty, the exhibition featured a series of images taken by and inspired by their long term artistic collaborator and friend Legge.
The exhibition featured a series of images in which dancers animated underpasses, public art works and burger vans, to name but a few locations, around the centre of MK.
Some of the images were taken on shoots aimed at changing how we look at our urban spaces, with others taken at festivals produced by MÓTUS over the last 4 years.
The exhibition also gave MÓTUS an opportunity to pay tribute to Legge, who sadly passed away in 2017.
Director Helen Parlor said ‘Legge was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He could always see the artistic possibilities that seemingly ordinary spaces offered.
"He was a kind, generous and brilliant man and is very, very missed. His legacy will live on through all the lives he touched.’
The exhibition has now ended, but you can still see images taken by Legge at MÓTUS’s events online here
