centre:mk has officially unveiled the stunning results of a new Guest Service Lounge, as part of a £60m investment programme in the shopping centre.
Following the results of the £10m refurbishment of Sunset Walk last year, the Guest Service Lounge demonstrates centre:mk’s ambitious vision and commitment to maintaining the centre’s status as the region’s leading retail destination.
Designed to give shoppers the VIP treatment, shoppers will become the centre's guests and will be treated to an all-day prosecco reception, whilst they browse the new lounge, which includes toilets and baby-changing facilities.
The services offered in the lounge will include gift cards on sale, Kiddy Cruiser hire, free shop mobility, and general centre and city information.
The baby changing suites located in the new toilets will feature interactive play such as a touch pad screen with numerous games and mounted play modules from S1 kids to accommodate for larger families.
In addition, as part of a long standing commitment to making the centre accessible for all, the centre will introduce wheelchair and push chair friendly changing rooms as well as a multi faith room.
Alongside the new facilities, a new uniform has been designed for the lounge staff to mirror the luxury service they will provide for guests and issued with a golden G pin.
Kevin Duffy, centre director said: ‘As Milton Keynes enters its 50th year, we wanted to reward our customers with contemporary facilities in which they can feel like true VIPs. This exciting new makeover will secure centre:mk as a modern hub and an exciting place to draw in visitors from across the UK.’
