Plans for a new housing development in the Buckinghamshire village of Hanslope have been approved by Milton Keynes Council.
Leicestershire-based housebuilder Davidsons Homes is behind the development, which will be known as The Wheatfields and will comprise 141 new homes on land to the south of Hales Folly Farm, Long Street Road.
Work is now set to start on site, with the development delivering a range of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, including 42 affordable properties for local people, plus open space and a new equipped children’s play area.
As part of the planning agreement for The Wheatfields, Davidsons Homes will be investing more than £2.2 million in local infrastructure and facilities, with key contributions of more than £600k being made to secondary education, almost £500k going towards primary education, over £200k being made to health facilities and over £100k going towards playing fields.
Simon Tyler, head of sales for Davidsons Homes’ South division, said: “We are delighted that plans for our new development in Hanslope have been approved, paving the way for construction work to start on site.
“As with all Davidsons Homes developments, we have carefully designed the new homes at The Wheatfields to complement their surroundings and will be offering a selection of beautiful Georgian and Victorian-styled properties to meet the needs of local buyers.
“The development is already generating a great deal of interest among prospective purchasers and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming visitors to the development when it opens in autumn 2019.
