Agudo Dance Company will visit The Venue MK in Walnut Tree on November 4 as part of a national tour of its new production of Carmen.
In this dance adaptation of Prosper Mérimée’s novella, Carmen, UK-based Spanish-born Artistic Director, Jose Agudo weaves his Flamenco roots with a unique contemporary style.
Using the familiar narrative of the classic story – but with a modern twist – and set to an original Flamenco-infused score by Bernhard Schimpelsberger, the company of seven dancers delivers a rich tapestry of the themes, human motives and emotions that Carmen evokes.

Carmen follows Jose Agudo’s inaugural full-length production of Silk Road, which launched his company, Agudo Dance Company, in 2017, touring nationally and internationally.
