Beatrix Potter's tales are timeless, and you are never too young to learn to be charmed by them.
On Sunday (Sept 4) storytelling and live music are mixed together to deliver a magical show for young and old alike.
Once Upon a Time There Were Four Little Rabbits will delight all who settle back and enjoy Quantum Theatre's performance at Stantonbury Theatre.
'Beatrix' will share her very first tale of Peter Rabbit who knows very well that he is not to go into Mr McGregor's garden, especially because it was there that his father met his untimely end, and was put into a pie. How awful.
But curiosity gets the better of Peter and he simply cannot resist!
After several nasty scrapes he finally escapes Mr McGregor's clutches and makes it home to a severe telling off from his mother...before being sent to bed!
After an interval, the second half take sees Peter return to the garden with his cousin Benjamin to recover Peter's lost clothes; and this time there is even more danger on the prowl int he shape of Mr McGregor's cat.
More scrapes occur before Benjamin's father rescues the rabbits from thr cat and they escape with the clothes, leaving Mr McGregor wondering just what has happened in his garden!
Perfect entertainment for all aged three years and up, 'Once Upon a Time...' airs from 2.30pm.
Tickets are £12.50 (£10.50 for concessions, £40 for a family ticket.)
