IN PICTURES: HANDMADE & VINTAGE FAIR AT THECENTRE:MK
Visitors are being treated to a range of less obvious goodies for sale at thecentre:mk this weekend - with the return of the Handmade & Vintage Fair. The event - housed in Middleton Hall - has been bustling with shoppers eager to seek out a rarity, unusual gift or one-of-a-kind creation. From tasty chocolate brownies and bottled beer to equally tasty (though definitely not edible) crocheted chairs and unique jewellery, the event is full of the quirky, and the unusual wanting to find homes with you.
We enjoyed the 'proudly eclectic' pieces for sale by Brocant ( www.brocant.co.uk ) who offer collectors and connoisseurs the opportunity to 're-fab your home' with their treasure trove, and Little Bow Bears ( www.littlebowbears.bigcartel.com ) and their beautifully animals. Another stand-out stall came courtesy of MK fine art and illustration ace Marty Strutt ( www.martysart.webs.com ), who creates colourful pictures that could bring warmth to any wall...that's one of his pieces at the top of this piece.
From tattered teddies to antique furniture, and unique jewellery and retro clothing to unisex bow-ties, the Handmade & Vintage Fair is a delightful stroll around the cute, crafted and clever, and it continues tomorrow (Sunday).
Happy shopping!
