The nights might be long and dark now the clocks have turned back, but Milton Keynes theatre goers can still enjoy a taste of the summer when one of the most popular shows in the Canary Islands visits this week.
The Music Hall Tavern theatre show comes to The Venue on Friday (November 18) with funnies aplenty.
The popular family themed musical drag delivery has been playing in the Canary Islands for more than two decades where it has established itself as a firm favourite with UK visitors.
The side-splitting show, which boasts lavishly dazzling costumes, has become one of the hottest tourist attractions in the Canaries with an incredible 120,000 holidaymakers paying to watch the performers each year.
It features the Showcase International Dancers along with live singing, comedy sketches and the music of Take That, Abba, Freddie Mercury, and Riverdance, among many others.
Thousands of British families watch the show every year across four islands - Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.
Founder, producer and lead cast member Paul Carroll says, “It’s a real feel good show that entertains people of all ages and leaves them wanting more.
“We have families and groups of work mates all enjoying the show from start to finish. The last three tours have sold so well that we just couldn’t resist returning for a fourth.
“I have been overwhelmed by the support we have had both in the Canary Islands and in the UK.
Following the Milton Keynes date, the show will visit a further six towns and cities before closing at the Arts Theatre in London’s Leicester Square on November 27.
