NORTHERN BALLET: THE TORTOISE & THE HARE RACE RIVALS DANCE OFF

On your mark, get set, go… to see Northern Ballet’s new ballet for children.

Slow and steady may win the race but you won’t want to dilly dally when it comes to booking tickets for Northern Ballet’s Tortoise & the Hare.

After the sell-out success of Ugly DucklingThree Little Pigs and Elves & the Shoemaker, the company will bring Aesop’s fable to the stage at Milton Keynes Theatre this Friday (April 29).

Once upon a time, there was a speedy Hare who was always boasting about how fast he could run.

One day, he challenges the other animals to a race, taunting them that they are too scared to even try.

When Tortoise boldly accepts the challenge, the Hare scoffs that he is the slowest creature in the world and hardly a worthy competitor.

No one expects the plodding Tortoise to win – but life is full of surprises…!

The beloved tale of two unequal race rivals and a very unlikely victory will be brought to life through splendid storytelling, delightful dancing and melodious music.
