If you just can’t get enough of watching dance shows on your telly then you won’t want to miss being wowed by the cast of Keep Dancing at Milton Keynes Theatre today (September 6) writes Georgina Butler.
The high-energy production promises to be an exciting dance extravaganza. It boasts 30 breath-taking routines in all the styles we see on Strictly Come Dancing, as well as sensational choreography inspired by other genres - including Conga, Lindy Hop, Disco, Contemporary and Jazz dance techniques.
Keep Dancing at Milton Keynes Theatre will feature celebrity guest stars – and reigning Strictly champions – Jay McGuiness (of The Wanted fame) dancing with his winning professional partner Aliona Vilani, alongside Robin Windsor (last seen by television viewers in the 2015 Strictly Christmas Special) partnering fellow Strictly pro Anya Garnis.
They will be joined by a cast of world-champion Ballroom and Latin dancers whose fancy footwork and dazzling displays ought to guarantee sensational entertainment.
The pros we know from Strictly have been granted the chance to get creative with some of the dances and they will be performing solos, partner dances and group routines throughout the show. Experienced choreographers Emma Rogers and Innis Robertson are overseeing every single step to ensure all of the numbers are polished to perfection.
Robin Windsor reveals: “I am so excited about getting out on the road and bringing Keep Dancing to Milton Keynes. Bringing a show packed full of live dancing and fun to fans outside of London is definitely a great feeling.
“The dancing is spectacular, of course, but so is the live music that we dance to. We’ve got musicians, a percussionist, singers. A lot of people come to dance shows for the music as much as for the dancing. You’ll be paying for a seat but you won’t be sat down as you’ll be on your feet dancing yourself!
“Keep Dancing is a celebration of dance, a two-hour dance marathon just packed full of amazing routines! If you like watching dance on the television then this is the show to see as it is faster and even more entertaining experienced live in person. This is a production for everyone whether you are 6 or 60 – and any husbands needn’t moan at being dragged along as they are usually the ones raving about it the most afterwards!
“It’s an upbeat, fun show with amazing dancing, a fabulous cast and celebrities. Everyone should come and celebrate dancing with us!”
Keep Dancing opens at Milton Keynes Theatre on Tuesday 6th September and the run continues until Saturday 10th September.
